Drives (AC / DC / Servo)
AC, DC and servo drive repair: power, communication and control board faults. Brand-independent, guaranteed service.

In drives — inverters, DC drives and servo drives — we carry out fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance and testing independently of brand. Our aim is to respond quickly to faults that stop production, restore stable operation and reduce costs.
What is a drive and why is it critical in production?
Drives control motor speed, torque and running characteristics, increase energy efficiency and keep the process stable. A drive failure can cause line stoppage, speed and torque fluctuation, overcurrent, overheating and alarms, all of which mean lost production. That is why correct diagnosis, correct repair and reliable testing matter.
AC drive (inverter) repair
In inverters used on pumps, fans, conveyors and machine drives we analyse the power stage, control board, IGBTs, drive supply and connection lines, then carry out the repair the fault requires.
DC drive repair
In DC drives that maintain speed and torque control for DC motor applications we check the firing, supply, feedback and protection circuits to restore stable operation.
Servo drive repair
On lines that need positioning and precise motion control we assess encoder feedback, communication and the power stage, then complete the process with test and verification.
What we do in drive repair and maintenance
We make no distinction between brands and we do not treat a fault merely as “it does not work”; we address the root cause. This prevents recurring faults, improves operating stability and lowers running costs.
- Fault analysis: alarm code, behaviour, load conditions and history
- Power stage checks: IGBT and component checks, supply lines, protections
- Control board and communication checks: I/O, fieldbus, parameter verification
- Cooling and mechanical checks: fan, thermal surfaces, connection points
- Test and verification: stable operation, load scenario, basic function tests
Common drive faults
Drives can fail because of voltage fluctuation, incorrect wiring, overload, ambient conditions such as dust, heat and humidity, cooling problems or component ageing. For correct diagnosis the operating conditions matter as much as the fault code.
- Overcurrent and overvoltage faults
- IGBT and power stage failures
- Motor runs but speed or torque fluctuates
- Communication and encoder faults on servo drives
- Overheating, fan failure and thermal protection alarms
Which drive brands do we work with?
We work independently of brand. The names we meet most often in service and stock are Siemens, ABB, Lenze, Yaskawa, Fanuc, Control Techniques, Schneider / Telemecanique, Rexroth / Indramat, B&R, Beckhoff, Danfoss, Vacon, Baumüller, Kollmorgen, Omron, Delta, KEB, Fuji, Liteon, GMT Control and Veichi. We also diagnose brands that are not on this list.
Frequently asked questions
Does a drive fault come from the motor or from the drive?
Both are possible. A winding or insulation problem in the motor, a loose cable or terminal, a wrong parameter setting or a mechanical load problem can all push the drive into protection. The motor, drive and cabling should therefore be assessed together.
Is the fault code enough for a diagnosis?
No. The fault code points in a direction, but the real cause must be analysed together with load conditions, supply quality, temperature, wiring and parameter settings. This approach reduces recurring faults.
Why does an inverter keep giving an overcurrent fault?
Overcurrent can come from sudden loading, mechanical jamming, wrong ramp settings, motor mismatch, cable problems or a power stage failure. It must be evaluated together with the operating scenario of the system.
Does an encoder fault stop a servo drive?
In most applications yes. If encoder feedback is faulty the servo drive raises an alarm and may stop the system for safety and accuracy. Checking the encoder, its cable and connectors is a critical step.
Does it make sense to buy a second-hand drive?
With the right product and correct compatibility a second-hand drive can significantly reduce cost and lead time. Brand, model, power, input and output compatibility and communication options should be clarified first.
Repair or replace?
It depends on the type of fault and on supply conditions. For imported units lead time and cost can be high. In suitable cases repair offers a fast and economical solution. The best option becomes clear after the initial assessment.
